Pet counting and matching: Find magazine photographs with many pets in one photograph or make a pet collage. Have the children count the number of pets in the photograph or collage dogs, cats, birds, gerbils, and the like. Make a color copy of the collage and cut out the individual animals. Have the children find them in the collage and match them to the animal.
