Class Apple-Book: As the children do different activities, use different recipes, taste different apples, and learn about apples, have them document what they discover. In a whole-group setting of young children, have the children dictate to you what they did in the activity or with the recipe (with older children, have them write their experiences). On each page that is written, have some children volunteer to illustrate the book, working together cooperatively. Make enough pages so all the children contribute. When the book is full, laminate and bind it. The children will enjoy their experiences with apples for a long time.
