Watermelon Pie! Chant Chart: Copy one verse on sentence strips and use it for one week. Copy a second verse and use it for a second week. Use the remaining two verses for weeks three and four. Have extra sentence strips available for the children to write different verses. The children put the sentence strips in the order of the chant and then, in the order of the verses they have written. For more activities with this song see Watermelon Pie and Other Slices! pages 12-13.

But please don't take
My Alligator Cake!

If I don't get some
I think I'm going to bed.
