Fall Tree: Put a tablespoon of sand in a resealable, snack-size baggie. Tape it closed. Put the baggie in the bottom a brown-paper lunch bag. Twist the bag in the middle to simulate a tree trunk; flatten the bottom to form a base (so the bag will stand). Tear the top of the bag downward at 8-10 places making one-inch-wide strips; twist the strips into branches. Glue the fall leaves to the branches; use the tree bag in the block center as a fall accessory to the block center. For more information see Watermelon Pie and Other Slices! page 25. For a different type of tree to add to the block areas see Block Play, pages 91-93.
