Family figures: Cut out magazine pictures of family members and laminate them. Use Sticky Tack to adhere each figure to one of the unit blocks. Use the family-member pictures for block-play accessories. The children can create their own family with the different block figures. If you can get the parents to send individual photographs of family members, laminate them and use them in the same way.
