Using Corn Shucks for Constructions: Collect dried corn shucks, separate them into individual shucks immerse them in a large pan of water and let them soak overnight. In the morning shake off as much water as you can; put the shucks in a large bowl. Put a bowl of rubber bands nearby. The children wrap and twist the shucks and fasten them together with rubber bands to construct things. Older children can make corn-shuck dolls in the same way.
