Sprout a Sweet Potato: Push toothpicks around the circumference of the sweet potato, about 2" apart, midway between the top and the bottom. Submerge the narrow end in a jar of water. The water should come up just below the toothpicks. The underwater portion of the sweep potato will sprout roots; the top will sprout leaves.
