Vehicle Patterns: Collect many pictures of vehicles. Make a number of copies of each of them. On construction paper, make pattern sequence boards using the vehicles. Here's how. Glue the pictures on the construction paper in a pattern or repeatable sequence. For examples: truck, car, truck, car; and truck, car van, truck, car, van. Design some of them so the children can finish the pattern or fill in a missing vehicle in the pattern. Make different vehicle pattern boards with the pictures. Save many copies of the vehicle pictures to use as vehicle cards to match the patterns you made on the construction paper. After the children have mastered 2, 3, and 4 pattern sequences, take away the pattern boards so they can make their own patterns.
