Dangerous- and Safe-Wind Sort: Find pictures in magazines and newspapers that show the effects of wind, safe effects and dangerous effects. An excellent source is your local television weatherman. Often he will send you some good pictures. Collect pictures that show how wind dries out things, like clothing, and how wind moves leaves and seeds and helps plants pollinate. Collect pictures of hurricanes, tornadoes, and other strong winds that are dangerous. The children sort the pictures by dangerous and safe wind.
