Leaf Toss and Measure. On a windy day find a leaf. The children toss it in the air and use a string to measure how far the leaf was blown by the wind. Mark and tag the spot "First Toss." Note the direction the leaf was blown. Repeat the leaf toss and compare the results and the direction the leaf was blown. Do this several times and compare the different distances and directions.
